2.4.27
Welcome to the 2.4.27 release of Logic!
This release brings some much needed improvements for automation
users recording analog signals, and fixes the high CPU usage problem
from the last few releases.
Much like the last release, 2.4.22, the team has still been focusing
primarily on still unreleased functionality. Releases 2.4.23 through
2.4.26 were released through our private alpha program.
Improvements
- Restored the missing low analog sample rates to the automation API, allowing analog sample rates down to 50 samples per second.
- If you’re using a digital trigger and disable all digital channels
the capture mode will automatically change to free-run, instead of
remaining in an invalid state.
- Adjusted the auto-layout height rules for digital channels, allowing them to be taller.
- Removed the feature where clicking anywhere clears the data table selection. ESC still clears the data table selection.
- Added a mouse-over state to the timing markers to make it easier to
tell if you’re hovering over them. This should help reduce accidental
timing markers.
- Improved export speed for binary format analog channels by 10 to 30 fold.
Bug Fixes
- Fix rendering issue where the screen would not update right away after trimming data.
- Fixed high CPU usage when software idling
- Fixed issue where the terminal would insert a blank space at the beginning of SPI data.
- Fixed grid lines display bug when in wall clock time mode.
- Fixed issue where when using Logic Pro 8 or Pro 16 with USB 2.0
ports; the device settings would be reset each time the device was
reconnected.
- On Linux, we reduced the number of USB transfers we queued during
recording. This is because the queue limit is global, and other
processes were competing with us for queued reads.
