Python 3.8 is end-of-life in two months. An update needs to happen urgently. devguide.python.org/versions/

Thanks for the heads up and for sharing the link! We do plan on updating, however, it's not something we can commit to immediately due to other priority projects we are working on. We've got this on our backlog to work on, and leave leave this feature request open in the meantime.
