CAN FD support for captures and protocol parsing

Support of simultanious CAN 2.0A/B and CAN-FD protocol decoding shall be supported. (Controller Area Network Flexible Data rate)

As an engineer I want to transition from CAN to CAN + CAN-FD in order to profit from the reduced overhead of the messages and the improved througput while still able to be using CAN simultaniously on the transmission line. Therefore I want to set the CAN measurement settings only or I want to set the CAN-FD measurement settings which require valid CAN settings. CAN-FD implies and requires CAN.

Additional CAN-FD settings proposed: Enable functionality :Flag Flexible Data rate settings :Frequency Same frequ. as CAN : Flag

Rating: Must have in the near future (imho), same as iic/spi.

At the moment we require 4x Units from the Saleae Pro 16 and the main protocol to decode is the CAN-FD (most of our customers are moving to this Protocol).

Wouldn't it make sense for you to add the protocol support on the next release ? Since this as been already tested ?
