Hardware - Data Playback / Output Mode

I would love to have a device that works as flawlessly as the logic analyzer to playback the sampled data. Is there anything like that in the works as Saleae or do you know of other hardware that can?

"I love using logic analyzer from you in Saleae, but one aspect of my job would be greatly improved if it was possible to have an IO toggling solution, where I would provide a pattern of IO toggles (by a ATP pattern would be ideal). For myself I'd ideally want up to 4MHz on up to 64 IOs, but 16 might be good enough."

"Feature Request - Possibility to SEND a signal from one of the channels.
It would be great to be able to send a signal from a channel and watch the response on another. Since the logic analyzer is an fpga, it's totally possible."

Merged with: Output pins. Read/Write SPI/I2C and other protocols.

I saw in one subject that the actual hardware is not supporting output states in Saleae Logic but I found that the hardware in the older version supports that.
This feature in the next generation will be very helpful and will deliver extended possibilities to use them. I need something like this for various tests of our hardware connected to HILs.

"your hardware and especially software is fine to use. However, there are things missing. One is the missing capability to WRITE logic patterns."

Thanks for writing this idea in! I edited the title name so we can easily find this idea while we keep an eye on interest. This is something we would love to implement at some point, and is certainly quite unique.

An alternative to this would be the Binho Nova Multi-Protocol USB Host Adapter, which we sell on our website below.

It doesn't have the ability to play back previously recorded signals, however, it's a simple way of generating output data for I2C, SPI, 1-WIRE, SWI, UART, and GPIO.
